Auto insurance

What I’ll look at

Liability limits

The state minimum is a legal floor. It is often not enough if you’re responsible for a serious accident.

Uninsured drivers

Uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage is what stands between you and someone who can’t pay.

A new driver

Adding a teenager changes the household. We’ll look at how the cars are titled and who is listed before the quote surprises you.

Deductibles you can live with

A higher comprehensive and collision deductible lowers the premium only if you can write that check.

Here, specifically

I-45, the Grand Parkway, and school-zone traffic are part of daily life here. The review looks at limits and uninsured motorist coverage before it looks at the price.

Common questions

Do I have to insure every car with the same company?

No. Sometimes one carrier is the better fit for the whole household, and sometimes it isn’t. I’ll say which, and why.

What should I have ready?

The declarations page, driver’s license numbers can wait. For a first conversation I need who’s driving, which vehicles, and the ZIP where they’re kept.

Can you help if I already have a policy?

Yes. Most reviews start with the policy you already have. If it’s the right fit, I’ll tell you that.

Have an insurance question?

Ask your neighbor.

Tell me what you have. I’ll give you an honest opinion, including if you should leave it alone.
