Independent insurance advisor · The Woodlands, Texas The Woodlands, Texas

Hi, I’m Jason Karamath.

Insurance advice from a neighbor who picks up the phone.

For nearly 20 years I’ve helped families in The Woodlands and north Houston with their home, auto, and personal insurance. I’ll go through what you have, show you the gaps, and compare options from several carriers. And if what you already have is the right fit, I’ll tell you that too.

Proud to call The Woodlands home!

I live here. So does my family.

I went to The Woodlands High School, studied at Texas Tech, and this is still home. Our boys play baseball and football here, and most weekends you’ll find us at the same fields, restaurants, and community events as the families I help.

That’s why this work is personal. I want you to have my cell phone. If something happens, I want to be the person you can reach.

Call me on a Saturday. Call me at night.

What I look at first

Five questions I ask about every Woodlands home.

Most people can’t answer these off the top of their head. That’s fine. That’s my job.

00 / 05 answered

01

Is my roof covered at replacement cost, or depreciated?

Some policies pay less for roof claims as the roof gets older. In hail country, you want to know which one you have before you need it.

02

Is my home insured for enough to rebuild it?

What your home would sell for isn’t the same as what it would cost to rebuild. Dwelling coverage should reflect today’s construction costs.

03

What would my deductibles actually cost me?

Many policies have a separate wind and hail deductible, sometimes a percentage of your coverage instead of a flat amount. Know the number before a storm, not after.

04

Which kinds of water am I actually covered for?

A burst pipe, a backed-up drain or sump, and rising floodwater are three different things. Water backup is often an add-on. Flood usually needs its own policy.

05

Are my belongings covered at replacement cost or actual cash value?

One pays to replace what you lost. The other pays what it was worth after wear and tear. That difference can be large after a loss.

Tap Not sure on anything you can’t answer.

How a review works

Three steps, in plain English.

  1. 01

    I read what you have

Your current policies, page one first. You don’t need to understand them before we talk.

  2. 02

    I show you the gaps

Roof, water, deductibles, liability. The things that matter on this part of the Gulf Coast.

  3. 03

I compare, if it’s worth it

I’m independent, so I can put several carriers side by side. Coverage first, then price.

And if what you already have is the right fit, I’ll tell you that too.

And I’m here before, during, and after. You won’t retell your story to a new voice every time something changes. You call me.

Same fields. Same weekends.

From Grogan’s Mill to Creekside Park, and out to Spring, Conroe, Magnolia, and Tomball. If you live around here, there’s a good chance we’ve sat in the same bleachers.
